Justin McBride 2005 PBR World Champion

Team Double-H is once again at the forefront with not one, but two champions emerging from the World Finals held in Las Vegas, November 6th. Justin McBride and Guilherme Marchi are two deserving winners. Justin captured the World Finals Championship and Guilherme captured the PBR Finals Championship.
Each night Justin and Guilherme gave the sold-out crowd at the Thomas and Mack center their money's worth of spectacular hair raising rides. They were the last two to ride their bulls each night, the pressure was tight and the stakes high. The two were riding for the $1 million dollar title. It came down to the last ride of the finals and Guilherme overcame a tremendously rank bull and just barely hung on to put the pressure on McBride. McBride came out of the gate and with the first jump he almost fell. By the time the bull starting spinning and twisting, Justin was already half-way to the ground with more than 5 second to go. Somehow, someway, Justin stayed on the bull, and even though the 75 points he eventually earned was the lowest score of the Finals, he was the World Champion.
McBride, overcome with emotion stated, "The Million Dollars is nice, but the title of "The Best in the World" is what I have wanted since I was four years old." When asked what he was thinking on that courageous final ride he replied, "Don't let go."
McBride's score for the event was so low that Guilherme Marchi took home the title of PBR Finals Champion, giving Double-H Boots the one-two punch. Guilherme's incredible consistency and unrelenting pursuit of McBride is what made this championship so sweet, it brought out the best in Justin, and left us all with an unforgettable season.
