In Swing!

Dexter Golf is proud to sponsor two of the LPGA’s brightest stars. Hailing from opposite corners of the world, Carin Koch and Shani Waugh have joined together to become Team Dexter.

With her win at the 2005 Corona Morelia Championship, Carin Koch has carded two tournament victories and over forty top-ten finishes in her career in the LPGA.

Well on her way to her first tournament victory, Shani Waugh has scored one or more top ten finishes in eight of her last nine LPGA seasons.

Carin Koch

Carin Koch (pronounced kahr-in coke) took up golf at age 9, and by 14 joined the Swedish National Amateur Team. In 1988 she won the Swedish Girls Championship, and in 1990 the European Team Junior Championship.

In college Carin played for the University of Tulsa golf team, where she was named a two-time Second Team All-American in 1989-1990.

Carin turned professional in 1992. Prior to joining the LPGA Tour in 1994, she played on the Women Professional Golfers' European Tour (WPGET) and the Asian Tour. In 1996 she posted seven top-20 finishes, including a tie for second at the Edina Realty Classic. (Liselotte Neumann won the playoff.)

Carin married Stefan Koch on Dec. 30, 1995. (Carin credits him as being one of her career influences. He sometimes caddies for her!) She gave birth to sons Oliver Michael Ture on Nov. 27, 1998, and Simzon Michael on April 6, 2003.

Shani Waugh

Shani Waugh (pronounced Shay'-nee War) took up golf at the age of 13. She was the 1986–1987 Australian National Sub-Junior champion, and was also a member of the Australian Junior Team (1988-89) and Australian Senior “Squad” (1989-90).

Shani turned professional in 1991 and joined the Women Professional Golfers’ European Tour (now the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour - LET). In 1995, she qualified for the LPGA Tour for the first time and, to this day, continues to compete on both tours, as well as on her homeland tour in Australia (ALPG).

A 35 year-old, blond haired, blue eyed native of Bunbury, Western Australia, Shani can often be found playing tennis, cricket, basketball, boogie boarding or watching Australian Rules Football.
